A superb English hallmarked silver aide-memoire of rectangular form with a rear hinged lid, push button catch and thumb tack to open, the case is beautifully embossed front & back with a romantic scene and peacocks in an English garden and is lined inside with pockets, a pencil and a synthetic notepad. This charming aide-memoire is in superb condition, almost as if it has never been used and was made by Henry Matthews assayed in Birmingham in 1900 measuring 4 ¼ inches in length.
