Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The pedestal with a floral decorated top, finished to the edges with a leaf rim, above the leaf decorated cap, with a waisted and laurel socle, resting on the tapering column with fielded panels filled with lion masks, from which hand baskets of fruits and flowers. The column sitting with a rising leaf cup, above the square scroll panelled block, with waisted collars, spreading to leaf, and scroll decorated plinth each side centred by a mask of a classical maiden. The whole raised on four scrolled leaf toes.
