The fall having central and corner marquetry inlay within the moulded cross grain frame which opens to a very well fitted interior. Consisting of 6 small satinwood serpentine shaped drawers with ebony pulls below the full width drawer. The centre with left & right handed barley twist columns and a satinwood and rosewood parquetry floored pigeonhole. Below is a pull-out writing slide with adjustable book rest and turned galleried sides. The fall lock stamped Hobbs & Co. of Cheapside, London, patent protecter lock number 27944 with brass escutcheon and original key. The lower section having 3 shaped and moulded full width drawers and the whole raised on short turned feet. Condition - Very good and original, fully cleaned and waxed.
