Victorian Embossed Pill Box 1899

Description

This superb SOLID SILVER PILL BOX has an intricate repousse design and was made by the well-known and sought-after silversmiths of Adie & Lovekin in 1899.

With a blank cartouche which could be personalised with initials etc., this lovely box has a strong hinge and the lid closes tightly despite being over 120 years old.

A beautiful piece which would make a lovely gift or add to a collection.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

Much of the interior gilt has been polished out over the years.

Dimensions:

Diameter – 1.25” (44mm) / Height – 0.75” (19mm)

Weight – 9.3gm / 0.3ozt
