Victorian Silver Cream Jug 1882

Description

This late 19th century SILVER CREAM JUG is of the 18th century style and was made by the well-known and sought after silversmiths of Hukin & Heath in 1882.

This superb Silver Jug is of baluster form with reeded edge handle and is decorated with a bright cut design. To one side the cartouche contains a family crest with the motto ‘Toujours Pret’ (Always Ready) and there is a blank cartouche to the other side.

In excellent condition despite it being almost 140 years old, this lovely Silver Cream Jug would look stunning in any setting.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

One small dink to front – nothing much but mentioned for accuracy.

Family Crest to one side.

Dimensions:

Height – 3.75” (95mm) / Length (Handle to Spout) – 4.0” (100mm)

Weight – 111gm / 3.57ozt
