Description

Unusual little late 19th.c. oak display cabinet c.1880. Just 21" wide with angled returns allowing it to fit snugly into a corner. Three shelves, with a plate groove to each, the bottom two enclosed with long slim glass panels and two doors in the front. With mashrabiya panels (made from turned balls joined with slim dowels) above and below the glazing across the front of the cabinet typical of the Moorish and Oriental influenced designs retailed by the celebrated London store Liberty & Co. Unusual scrolling detail to the top of the back edge of the gallery with slim brass collars. Turned ball finials and feet, brass screws and canvas lining fabric inside. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
