HAVING A DOUBLE SWELLING CUT LONG NECK,WITH PANEL CUT SHOULDERS.
LARGE SHAPED CUT SPOUT
HEAVILY CUT POINTED PANELS TO THE BODY, CUT WITH LARGE FLAT TOP DIAMONDS.
RADIATING CUT FOOT.
LARGE CUT STRAP HANDLE
ORIGINAL CUT SPIRE STOPPER.
WONDERFUL CONDITION.
HEIGHT TO TOP OF STOPPER 16 INCHES.
VERY HEAVY.
THIS EXCEPTIONAL CLARET JUG WAS MOST PROBABLY MADE TO BE EXHIBITED AT AN EXHIBITION
MOST PROBABLY THE CRYSTAL PALACE EXHIBITION OF 1851
WHERE THE TOP GLASSMAKERS OF THE DAY HAD TRADE DISPLAYS.
