The bakelite columns have base grips for stability and terminal supports to hold the Sterling silver shades. The shades are pierced fretwork featuring trellising, flowers and leaves. The columns are hollow to hold candles and these stunning and unusual items would grace any home. Gorham's have a towering reputation, opening their Rhode Island Office in 1831 and their 5th Avenue New York Store in 1905. Working on many occasions for the prestigious Tiffany & Co., their work is much admired and sought after. These beautiful vintage examples are quite a find. Dimensions below.
