Here we have a rare Charles II Oak spice cupboard c1680. As you can see the cupboard has stunning colour and patina. Firstly we are convinced that the cupboard has never had a middle drawer there are no marks to suggest that there has ever been one. This is not unusual and we have seen this before. The top has super grain and colour with a single door below. The door has typical geometric mouldings from this period. There are original hinges and working lock with key. The drop handle also appears to be period. Internally there are typical drawers with ring pull handles. The back is original and applied with hand made rose head nails. The main cabinet is of pegged mortice and tenon construction. There is a beautiful naive metal strap repair to the bottom of the door which exudes charm. A super example in great retail condition ready for your home ot collection. The dimensions are approx 13 inches high 14 wide and 8 deep.
