Long Elm Welsh Dresser Base C.1800.

Description

Long George III elm open Welsh dresser base c.1800. Simple design, the top made from a single inch thick elm board over three large drawers and a straight apron. Elm front and sides with a scratch carved detail to the edge of the drawer fronts and brass swan neck handles. Raised on straight square oak stiles. Some old repairs and restorations, most obvious at the rear of both sides of the top and to the lower portion of each leg. Otherwise good condition, solid and sturdy with an attractive pale colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
