Charming Early Single Finger 30 Hours Oak Cased Clock with Original Split Pin Hinges, Wavey Hood Glass and Twist Knob to Trunk Door. Dolphin Decoration to the Hammer Stop. Trunk Door Lentil and Hood Viewing Windows. In the "History of Wincanton from early times to 1903", George Sweetman comments on Noah Pridham as being "Amongst the old Clockmakers in the immediate area and that despite seeing many clocks by him, Geoge could not remember seeing a clock of his with only one hand." Here we have one and would surmise that it is a Very Rare Survisor of his Early Work. Height 80in or 203.5cm. Brass Chapter Ring 10in Outer Diameter and Square Dial 11in. The movement has been Checked, Oiled and Tested to be in Good & Full Antique Working Condition.
