Description

A superb rat-tail silver serving or tablespoon from the reign of Queen Anne. This good example is in Hanoverian pattern and has an armorial of a rampant lion over script initials. This handsome and rare example is over 300 years old and is a superb collector's piece. Early silver tableware is always in demand and becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly Queen Anne examples. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. The bowl tip has slight wear to one side, commensurate with age and use.
Hallmarks :- Softening but readable.
Maker :- Andrew Archer.
Date :- London 1713.
Length :- 19.5 cms.

Bowl depth :- 7.3 cms.
