The desk is in good condition for its age and has been well looked after. It has a lovely warm patina and the pine has mellowed to a plesant colour over time. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are some marks and old stains on the top but nothing untoward for a desk of this age. There is some wear to the bottom of one back foot and a small chip in the back side piece of molding but nothing detrimental. The desk has been cleaned, gently polished and displays beautifully and is ready for use.
