Description

Beautiful oak office chair dating from the early 20th Century. It is a good comfortable chair and very well made. It has a lovely shape with curved arms and turned spindles and an upholstered seat and back. It has four legs, terminating in castors. The chair swivels on a large bolt and is adjustable in height. It also tilts backwards when you lean back in the chair.

It is approximately 36" (91cm) high and the arms are 22" (56cm) wide across. The seat is 18" (46cm) deep and approximately 18" (46cm) high.

It is in very good condition for its age. It has developed a lovely aged patina and is structurally very sound. It is not without a few small marks here and there but nothing untoward or detrimental for a chair of this age. The joint at the top of one arm has shrunk slightly with age but it is strong and solid. The seat covering is in good condition with no splits or tears and the mechanism for tilting and swivelling is in good solid working order.
