Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
This has been done by having the centre panel placed on hinges to form a cupboard door with access to a long shelved cupboard and it has 3 drawers at the bottom which have lions mask ring handles

The carving is of very fine quality, it has scrolls acanthus leaves and flowers, set in 4 arched scallop chamfered panels, the top is made from 2 planks of thick oak and the piece is set on large Georgian style bracket feet

This is a wonderful looking piece it is 18th Century in the main, it is heavy and in good sturdy condition
The chest or now sideboard is 56” long, 20” deep and 41” high
