In very good condition for its age this is a very finely detailed engraving of Loch Venachar in the Scotland, with sailing boat and figure swimming. It is signed lower right and titled lower left.
John Fullwood was both a painter and etcher, born in Wolverhampton, he studied at the Birmingham School of Art and in Newlyn and in France. He exhibited at the RBA and RBSA and was elected a member of both in 1891. Fullwood was also an early member of the Birmingham Art Circle. He also showed at the DG, MAFA, NG, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, RI, RA and ROI. Fullwood was both a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and his work is in the collection of Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
