Technical Description
A beautiful Victorian Brandy decanter with its original cut lapidary stopper. Slice cut neck with a band of printie cuts at the top of the main bowl. Engraved and polished grapes and leaves with the word BRANDY engraved a polished. Deep facet cuts to the base which have notch cut edges. Star cut base. One of the best decanters of its type we have had...superb workmanship.
Historical Relevance
Hand blown around the time the Carnegie Hall opens at 881 Seventh Avenue in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Carnegie Hall is named after Andrew Carnegie (a Scotsman) who paid for its construction. Its main purpose was for use as a performance venue for classical music.
