Description

A Very Fine Pair of French Bronze & Well Grained Sienna Marble Grand Tour Single Light Table or Mantle Candlesticks of medium size and good heavy gauge castings. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
Each tapering circular central marble column support below a well cast bronze campana form candle holder with egg and dart rim, ending on a very ornate Acanthus leaf cast socle, supported by a similar cast tripod base with scrolling feet on a plain inverted triangular base.
Condition: These pieces have been professionally cleaned, original patinated bronze in superb condition. Complete with later ormolu drip pans which are loose-fitting. There is a small loss to one marble column at top under the bronze mount.
Height: 10" (25.5cm). Width: (at base) 4.5" (11.5cm). Depth: (at base) 3.75" (9.5cm).
