Description

This antique Queen Anne style burr walnut desk is extremely high quality & dates to around the 1920’s period. It’s in excellent condition having just been French polished & the burr walnut figuring is beautiful all over, including the back. The top has a three partitioned tooled leather writing surface. There are some wonderful carvings around the top edge & down the corners both back & front. All the drawers are finely dovetailed, with original brass handles & the centre drawer has a lock & shell carving in the middle. The Queen Anne style solid walnut legs are also carved near the tops. All the corners are canted & the floral carvings on those are exceptional.
