A superb, solid silver 3-piece Tea Set, comprising Tea Pot, Milk Jug and Sugar Bowl. In oblong form, with classical styling, the set is beautifully designed. Each piece has a elegant fluted design around the base and stands on a single foot. The handles on the Milk Jug and Sugar Bowl are particularly attractive and the Tea Pot has a wonderfully designed ebony handle, which feels lovely and tactile and is a great shape to hold in the hand. The spout is elegantly proportioned and there is a lovely oval ebony and silver finial to the top of the teapot lid for lifting. Hallmarks are visible on all the three pieces for the Sheffield Assay Office with date marks for 1923 on the teapot and 1924 on the Sugar Bowl and Milk Jug, along with the Silver maker''s mark on each piece for Harrison Brothers & Howson.
