~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A large and beautiful gilt metal clock set mounted with stunning Sèvres style porcelain.
Side panels are finely painted with butterflies and flowers. The style of the case is Baroque with goddess mask to the front, acanthus and rams heads to the sides.

The dial is porcelain painted with flowers and birds and is complete with it's finely cut brass hands. Please note that this type of clock doesn't have a glass bezel. The rear door is glazed to allow the movement to be seen.

The French movement is by Japy Freres and is of the makers usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running available, please ask.

Condition of the case is excellent, the gilding is fresh and bright with a couple of areas of discolouration and a couple of small repairs. Porcelain is also excellent some very slight rubbing to the over glaze gilt decoration. the urn on the top of the clock leans backward, this is part of the design.
