Description

A good quality 19th Century figured mahogany pedestal partners desk. The rectangular thumb moulded top having a very good old tooled leather writing surface with blind and gilt tooling. One side having 9 graduated drawers with applied mouldings and turned pulls. The reverse having 3 conforming drawers, 2 cupboards with panelled doors and applied mouldings and mahogany faced shelf interiors. The pedestals raised on off set plinth bases with hidden castors below. The whole in very good condition, cleaned and waxed, mahogany lined throughout and with working patented brass locks and keys. Ready for the home or office. Interior label states that this desk belonged to Hugh de Havilland. Dimensions:- Height .. 30.5’’ / 77.5cm. Width .. 59’’/ 150cm. Depth .. 36.25’’/ 92cm.
