Set Of Twelve Sheraton Revival Mahogany Inlaid Dining Chairs By James Garvie & Sons, Aberdeen (12)

An attractive set of 12 late Victorian/Edwardian mahogany and inlaid Sheraton Revival dining chairs by James Garvie & Sons of Aberdeen. The boxwood strung backs with inlaid pierced centre splat and standing on boxwood strung square tapering legs with gently out-curved legs to the rear. The armchairs with elegant curving arm rests. All upholstered in green leather with padded, slightly serpentine shaped seats. With ‘James Garvie & Sons, Aberdeen and London’ label to the underside.
 
In good condition with no loose joints, some dents and marks consistent with age and use, an old repair to the arm on one which is not easily seen, and a repair on the back to another. The upholstery has been recently redone.
