Fine Mahogany Wine Table by Gillows

Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: a fine quality and very pretty solid mahogany WINE TABLE by this most famous cabinetmaker.

Dating from the 1825-1840 period, this lovely table features a well-figured top with its 'gadrooned' border and it is supported on a finely carved central column leading to 'hipped' tripod legs and small compressed bun feet. A superb quality and quite rare table. The top: 19.5ins x 15ins; 28.5ins high.

***Note the iconic "diminishing" beaded decoration down the sabre legs ~ a typical Gillows fature.
