Description

A Victorian period stick barometer. A mahogany case with a stepped pediment. Choice flame mahogany veneers to the case with a mercury thermometer to the middle. An Ivorine engraved dial signed 'Hill & Price Opticians Bristol'. An adjusting slide vernier scale to the main dial with weather predictions and air pressure. Circa 1875.

Hill & Price of Bristol are recorded in Banfields' 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1870.
