Description

Very comfortable pair of fairly large antique Swedish leather Chesterfield armchairs in good original condition & full of character. We have had all the leather polished up by our leather specialist, so the colour is really nice. There’s a bit of wear showing on the seats, which is old creasing and wear to the top surface of the leather, but not splits. However, it’s all sound & we didn’t want to start re-leathering the seats when they didn’t need doing. They have far more character this way. If they were split or very bad, we would have replaced it. These armchairs have deep buttoned backs, with more buttoning below the seats & they are hand tacked under the pleated arms & backs. They are also fully sprung inside, with all the original inside fillings. I would date them to around the 1910 period & they are extremely high quality like all the Swedish antique furniture we sell.
