Pair of Victorian 'King of Diamonds' Brass Candle Sticks

Description

James Clew and Sons of Manilla Works, 195 Aston Road, Birmingham, furnishing brass founders, were one of the foremost producers of quality candlesticks in the late 19th Century.

To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria, they designed a series of candlesticks that were first made in 1897. Each candlestick has the name stamped on the base; in this case the larger set stamped 'King of Diamonds'.

In very good condition and with the 'push-up' mechanisms fully working.
