Pair of 19 C French Carved Giltwood Window Seats or Stools

This superb pair of elegant French window seats or stools have six carved and fluted legs with shaped stretchers decorated with a carved and beaded moulding.

The seat frames are also carved and moulded in a Classic ribbon design. The tops are traditionally upholstered in finely deep buttoned Scottish hide with a brass nailed boarder.

This pair of stools are made from mahogany which indicates fine quality. They have their original slightly distressed gilt finish creating a good country house look and they are structurally in very sound condition,
