Pair English Art Deco Sterling Silver Napkin Rings - Boxed - 1939

Description

A fabulous and very smart pair Art Deco napkin rings in pristine condition complete in their original presentation box.

Made from English sterling silver, they have engine turned decoration to both back and front and each with plain shaped sides. This is where the full English hallmark can be found for Sheffield 1939 together with the makers mark for the well renowned silversmith, Adie Brothers.

The interior of the box lid is lined in cream silk with original retailers name printed in black, "J S Ewan, Castle Douglas" (a Scottish town in Dumfries and Galloway).

Excellent condition each napkin ring measuring 2" x 1 1/4" x 1 1/4"; the box measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 2 1/2"; they weigh a combined 2.33 Troy Ounces / 72.6 Grams.
