Georgian Bone Whist Box Complete with Counters, Circa 1790

Description

This is an exquisite and rather unusual English George III gaming counters box. Made from bone, the screw top lid engraved with the word "Whist" and decorated with green and red motifs

The box fitted with three numbered counters.

Condition:

Very good.

Dimensions:

Diameter: 3cm / 1.2 inches.

Georgian counters boxes are few and far between, this is a delightful and rare example.
