An unusual 19th century mahogany fusee timepiece wall clock by Thurlow, Ryde.
The face is unique in that it is polished mahogany with a studded border and with gilt metal Roman numerals.
The cast brass bezel is secured with a latch and fitted with beveled glass.
Henry Thurlow is listed in the 1881 census as a watchmaker at 55 Union Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight. His father Edward Thurlow was also a watchmaker and jeweller at 54 and 55 Union Street.
The high quality fusee movement is fully serviced and guaranteed for 24 months.
