Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1960s.
This is a very early model, one of the very first Cellini models.

It is quite stunning, the dial is in incredible condition and it still retains its original ground mineral glass.
The calibre 1600 manual winding movement is an absolute gem, sparkling clean and in like new condition, this is a movement from the golden age of Swiss watchmaking.

As you would expect from Rolex the watch is fully marked on the dial as Rolex and on the movement and case.
It comes complete with both its inner and outer boxes.
Rolex are one of the most exclusive makers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance which resonates class, it is extremely difficult to find an example such as this.

The watch case measures 24mm x 34mm not including the crown.
The watch has just been fully overhauled and serviced by top Rolex agent Robert Reeves.
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then thoroughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultrasonic cleaning process.

The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed, in the case of waterproof watches a full waterproof pressure test is carried out to manufacturers specification.

Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.
