Victorian Mahogany Two Drawer Side Table

19th century
Description

A good mahogany side table dating from the mid 19th Century. It is set on elegant tapering ring turned legs with a raised gallery. It has two drawers, each with its original wooden turned knob and still lined with the original blue 'penny paper'. Good proportions, perfect for a hallway or a small writing desk.

It is in good condition and is strong and sturdy. The drawers open well although there are some marks and ink stains on the linings. The colour is rich and it has been gently restored and repolished while preserving its aged patina. There are some old repairs, signs of age and use and light surface marks but nothing detrimental. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
