Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The raised circular collar decorated with gilt leaves against a blue ground. The collar surrounded by a band of seaweed against a white ground. The shoulder decorated, as per the collar.
The body with panels depicting oriental flowers, and blossoming trees. The panels bordered by bowed panels filled with rising flowers and leaves against a gilt ground.
The body tapering to a band of gilt flowers against a blue ground, as per the shoulders and collar. The vase resting on a concentric scrolled foot rim.
The condition is very good, though the centre of the underside has been drilled for a lamp. The lamp fittings are available should they be required.
