Georgian Old Sheffield Plate Wirework Bread Basket, Circa 1800

Description

This beautiful Georgian wirework bread basket dates circa 1800. It has generous proportions and an elegant outline. Wirework baskets are rather scarce and this is a lovely example. The wirework sides within a plain border. The solid base raised on four bun feet.

Condition:

Very good.

Wirework in very good condition.

A little copper showing through at base.

Dimensions:

Length: 28cm / 11 inches.

Height at highest: 8cm / 3 inches.

Width at widest: 20cm / 8 inches.
