This gorgeous small prayer-rug was made in the Shirvan region of the eastern Caucasus at the end of the 19th century. I think this must rank as one of the smallest of type that I've encountered! The weave is incredibly fine and the rug is in excellent condition.

Rugs of the Caucasus and Shirvan rugs included, are amongst the most collectible in the world market. This is a fabulous little rug.
