Fine Silver Sauce Ladle Edinburgh 1811

A very fine solid silver Sauce ladle, lovely proportions and a good heavy gauge silver. Predominantly plain polished silver, the only decoration to the ladle is a scallop shell design embossed on the top of the terminal and underneath the shell is an engraved eagle. Very clear hallmarks are visible on the back for Edinburgh 1811 with an overstruck maker''s mark for Mitchell & Russell (William Mitchell and William Russell).
 
 
 
A super spoon slightly larger and heavier than normal and in lovely antique condition. Great for a collector of Scottish silver! Feels nice and sturdy to hold in the hand.
 
 
 
Hallmarks: Edinburgh 1811 by Mitchell & Russell.
