Edwardian Chestnut Roaster

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1900-1920 a brass topped chestnut roaster, completely original and in good order, with a fine quality wooden handle and a secure locking system with a brass 'key' - see last photo for details.

The top isn't stained as may appear in the photographs, the reflection of the light from the camera on the brass picks up surrounding colours.

It measures 70cm in length and the pan is 8cm deep and 18.5cm in diameter. The brass has been lightly polished but not lacquered, and the metal pan is rustic but undamaged.
