A Fantastic Quality Burr Walnut Victorian Period Carved Antique Davenport

Description

A fantastic quality burr walnut Victorian Period carved antique davenport. Having a sloping top retaining the original Moroccan leather tooled writing surface and a "secret" satin birch writing compartment. The desk is veneered in burr walnut throughout and has the finest "cut back" carved floral detail. The right hand side having a hinged door, which opens to reveal four fine quality mahogany lined drawers. The front having exquisitely carved and pierced fretwork columns, supported on a platform base with turned bun feet and inset brass castors. English circa 1870

Dimensions: 22" wide x 22" deep x 32" high

Condition: This davenport is in wonderful original condition, cleaned and waxed
