Description

This impressive 19th Century (circa 1830) 8 day drop dial striking wall clock. The substantial 5 pillar, eight day movement with shaped plates, striking the hours on a bell. The convex dial signed T.I. Pear and Son, Stafford, a jewellers in the centre of the county town, was still in existence in the 1950s. The dial framed by a cast brass bezel surrounding a convex glass. The case veneered in flame Mahogany with ebony detail with the addition of decorative fans supporting the dial. This clock has been overhauled and cleaned and comes with guarantee.
