Description

Superb set of eight William and Mary style oak and leather dining chairs c.1930. Six chairs plus two carver armchairs. Solid oak frames, high backrests with arched cresting rails over raised and fielded panels flanked with turned rear stiles topped with ball finials. Curving arms with scroll terminals to the carvers. Pale leather seats with large brass studs to the sides. Turned and block front legs and arm supports and turned front stretchers. Joined with straight stetchers at the sides and rear for extra strength. Very good colour and condition.
