A superb painting by this accomplished fast-rising artist. St Tropez. A very typical scene with bright colours in his most skilful use with a pallet knife.
He became a prolific and very proficient artist able to repeat and produce several paintings at a sitting. He painted up to the end of his life and produced many hundreds, possibly 1000+ of Mediterranean scenes for us to enjoy. This is an artist i recommend as one to watch. Should our economy rise, Doyly Johns works will rise above it. Some now in the 2,000-3,000 price range.
