This impressive bulbous belly vase dates from the late Edo / early Meiji period. Complete with elephant-head handles, the vase is in excellent condition with no visible chips or restoration. Rich blues, reds, turquoise and gold delicately painted flowers adorn the main body whilst the base is signed with Shimazu family crest and Satsuma Yaki characters.
