Description

Late 19th.c. carved oak chiffonier side cabinet c.1880. Single long drawer over a two door cupboard with a single shelf inside. Renaissance style carved front with scrolling acanthus frieze to the drawer, flanked with lion’s masks. Doors with unusual carved panels featuring 16th.c. style carved male heads in laurel leaf surrounds at the centre of a design featuring large winged lion grotesques. Front stiles carved in high relief with further heads within scrolling cartouches over fruit and leaf garlands. Carved mouldings to the top, sides and plinth. Solid oak drawer linings, sides and back panel. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
