Description

A stunning Italian early Art Deco carved marble sculpture of a bathing female set on a Breccia di Seravezza marble base. It is signed in the base by the Italian artist Pugi as can be seen in the images attached. It is a wonderful size and in very good condition, with very fine carving.

Gugielmo Pugi (1850- 1915) born in Fiesole a small town close to Florence. He was a highly regarded and skilled sculptor who specialised in female figures and busts.
