Set of late C19th walnut and brass-mounted shelves in the manner of James Shoolbred & Co., London.

Quality set of 3-tier serpentine-outline front walnut shelves with reeded brass column uprights and classical urn finials, each shelf back with a brass baluster gallery. The front edge of the shelves with a moulded edge profile.

Designed to stand as book or display shelves upon a chest or side table with brass ball feet to the underside.

The design elements and quality , point to an attribution to the well-known and esteemed manufacturers and retailers James Shoolbred & Company , Tottenham Court Road , London during the last quarter of the nineteenth century.

In excellent original condition with good aged patina to the metal-ware and clean waxed and polished finish to the walnut shelf plateaus.
