A wonderful Victorian mahogany bookcase, circa 1880. This is tall and narrow and has round corner construction. It is of the absolute highest quality and constructed with a high grade of heavy mahogany timber. This bookcase has been polished and has a rich patina. As the penultimate picture shows the door comes off in the top section (pin door construction allows this) which some people may want to do and use as an open bookcase. The top door has a decorative glass handle.There are four shelves in the top section and two shelves in the bottom section, these shelves can be adjusted to your desired height. The top and bottom sections are constructed separately for ease of transport. They screw together firmly and securely for safe use. The door has a pin construction and there is a working key and lock for the top section.
