A Gorgeous German Silver Salt & Pepper Cruet

Description

A gorgeous German silver two piece cruet. The salt and pepper bottles are attractively finished with panel and facet cutting. The silver lids locate via a screw thread. The lovely frame is of attractively designed silver and features swan heads and pierced wings. Only rarely do these sets survive complete and this would make a great gift idea, being both practical and decorative. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits to the silver and no chips or cracks to the glass . There are twin areas of strengthening, where the swans join, commensurate with age and use.
Hallmarks :- Part Maker's mark remains, 800 (silver fineness).
Origin :- Germany.
Date :- c1920.
Salt and pepper height :- 7 cms.
Salt and pepper diameter :- 3 cms. (widest point).
Base width :- 10.75 cms. (widest point).
Base depth :- 3.5 cms. (deepest point).
Base height :- 5.5 cms. (to top of swan neck).
