Description

Very pretty Derby coffee can with Dresden shape handle. Lovely salmon ground with rich gold and black decoration of stylised dragons or griffons and ornate foliate type patterns. Red mark, c.1815.

It measures 6.4cm (2 1/2") high, 9cm (3 1/2") rim to handle and 6.6cm (2 5/8") rim to rim. Condition is very good with no damage or restoration and very light surface wear, just a bit of wear to the gilding on a small section of the rim and very slight discolouration inside the base.
