Art Deco 2.71 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1940

Description

A serious rock! This wonderfully well proportioned old European cut diamond is perfectly showcased in this French, late Deco mount. The stone is secured in an eight-claw coronet collet which sits nice and low to the finger, leading to a slim D-shaped shank set with six (three each side) eight-cut diamonds in the shoulders.

Accompanied by a diamond grading report from EGL (#1960003322).

Cut – Old European cut (with eight-cuts in the shoulders).

Colour – J (H to I in the shoulders).

Clarity – SI2 (VS2 to SI1 in the shoulders).

Carat – 2.71 (with an additional approximate 0.06 carat in the shoulders.)

Circa – 1940.

Size –M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The diamond is 9.05 x 9.05mm. Sits 5.3mm from the finger.

Metal – Platinum. Tested.
